14 Scenes out of 40 are edited (without music or sound effects) and by the end of the week I will be more than half way through editing. After I cut the whole movie together then I move on to the sound effects, laying down every sound for every scene. After that I place all the music in the film, by the way there are 20 local artists featured in the film and on the soundtrack, along with around 60 music tracks composed for the score of the film! There's a lot more than you think that goes into making a feature length film! And after I put all the music in place it's on to the special effects and graphics! Then the Bad Guy will be complete and ready for it's theatrical release! I will be posting portions of the editing process so stay tuned!
It's a wrap for the production of Bad Guy! Done filming and now to the editing process! Filmed for three months, not everyday, mostly nights and weekends (to accommodate the working Cast and Crew). In those three months, July through September, we filmed for 25 solid days and the occasional couple hours for pick-up shots, inserts shots, etc... Some of those days were 8am to Midnight (16 hour days) and the others were 8 to 10 Hour days! We filmed as much as we could each day, hustling from one set to the next! And for the most part staying right on schedule! Thanks to everyone involved for being a part of our film and our dream!
About to wrap up production this week! Only a couple of pick up shots left and interviews with the main actors for the behind the scenes portion of the DVD!!! Everything is going smoothly! There could be some re-shoots but they will most likely be more inserts! There always are! And..........
BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR THE EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEAK AT THE OFFICIAL "BAD GUY" TRAILER COMING OUT IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS!!! Took a drive to Sand Lake at Don Grzeszak's to shoot the escape/ambush scene where The Assassin comes after The Bad Guy and Vanessa. This is the start of the non-stop action in the third act of the film! And after filming the whole cast shot some rounds off with the AR-15!!! The Assassin (Travis Steketee) with his AR-15 as he gets ready to fire off live rounds! Vanessa (Nancy), Bad Guy (Anthony) and The Assassin (Travis) all ready for action.
Shot all the sequences with The Bad Guy and Vanessa's child Johnny (Mason Triplett)!!! Mason did a fantastic job!!! It was almost as if he had been in a movie before but this was his first! Anthony and Nancy has to problem working with Mason and all the scenes were shot in a few takes! Vanessa with her son Johnny as she sends him off for his safety during all the chaos. The Bad Guy with his son Johnny as they walk the beach. Night Scene: The Bad Guy tells Vanessa how and why he's "The Bad Guy".
Real quick shoot today with Anthony (Bad Guy) and Travis (Assassin)... The Bad Guy chases the Assassin across some railroad tracks and into a downtown office building leading up to their final battle!!! Anthony and Travis are perfect choices for both their characters and did a great job at looking BAD-ASS!! The Assassin makes tracks across the railroad tracks! The Bad Guy not to far behind in pursuit of The Assassin.
The last day of filming for Tony Arsulowicz Sr.!!! Filmed two scenes this evening!!! First we filmed at the residence of Jim Koop, the house was used as the Senator's Home. Great touch with the American Flag!!! After the house shoot we headed out to the Grand Haven Yacht Club to finish the final battle at the end of the film!!! Tony was very impressive!!! In the front of the Senator's Manison. The Senator (Tony Arsulowicz Sr.) stands next to the Escalade. Producer/Director Matthew gives the Senator (Tony) his final lines.
We took care of some pick up shoots before heading to the warehouse. Bad Guy running out the tunnel, the bloody foot prints, and driving insert shots!!! A very fast day of filming, from one location to the next!!! Anthony did an excellent job!!! And thanks to Producer/Actor Randy Galaszewski for being the man! Anthony (Bad Guy) and Nancy (Vanessa) pose for the camera! Producer/Director Matthew and Bad Guy star Anthony show off the "Bottle of Blood."
Knocked out a couple of quick scenes today with Jason Yonkers and Tony Arsulowicz Sr.!!! They did a hell of a job!!! Making it look easy!!!!! First of all we created a new scene for Joseph White, to expand on his character a little bit. We wrote and shot the scene that day!! Very impressive (Because it turned out fucking awesome!) We shot the scene on the roof top of a parking garage in downtown Grand Rapids, after our last shot it started to downpour!!!! We got luck!!! Right after the roof top scene we headed down to the Senator's house and beat the shit out of two scene's with the Senator (Tony Sr.) himself!!! On the roof top of a parking garage in downtown Grand Rapids, shooting with Joseph White (Jason Yonkers). The Contact (Corey Kwaiser) sits in the car ready for the scene shot by Matthew Douglas Grzeszak. Producer Ross Scharphorn lends a hand in the Senator's Office Scene.
